The North American Network Operators' Group! NANOG is an educational and operational forum for the coordination and dissemination of technical information related to backbone/enterprise networking technologies and operational practices.
Resources
Through the effective use of the NANOG website, email lists, meeting archives, and of course the ongoing meetings, NANOG is able to distribute information to engineers and operators both national and international. It is the place to find current best practices as well as a history of the internet.
Meetings
NANOG meetings are held three times each year, and include presentations, tutorials, and BOFs. The meetings are informal, and membership is open. Conference participants typically include senior engineering staff from tier 1 and tier 2 ISPs. Participating researchers present short summaries of their work for operator feedback.

We invite you to join us at the in Atlanta, October 3-6, 2010, for NANOG50. The meeting will be held at the
Loews Atlanta Hotel in Midtown.
This will be the third NANOG meeting in Atlanta and NANOG's eighth
back-to-back meeting with ARIN, the American Registry for Internet
Numbers. A joint NANOG/ARIN program will be featured on the morning of
October 6, with ARIN XXVI continuing through October 8.
NANOG50 will feature many of the things you've come to expect from a NANOG meeting: leading-edge networking examples, tutorials, presentations, and panel discussions. Plus plenty of opportunities to meet and learn from your fellow NANOG community members. Make your plans to join us!
The Call for Presentations will be forthcoming, meeting registration will open in mid-July, and venue details will be provided shortly.
